Expected School-Wide Learning Results

Upon completion of the Merced County Office of Education ROP Program our students will be:

    ESLR 1:    Ethically and Socially Skilled Persons Who:
    • Work cooperatively as a team member and demonstrates respect for ALL co-workers
    • Arrive on time, stay on task, and follow attendance policies
    • Model honesty, integrity, and loyalty
    • Demonstrate initiative
    • Display leadership skills
    • Demonstrate the skills and resources to attain employment
    • Demonstrate appropriate grooming and hygiene
    ESLR 2:    Productive and Safe Workers Who:
    • Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to competently complete the job
    • Demonstrate the ability to accept change
    • Read, write, speak, and listen competently
    • Identify, analyze, calculate, compute, and apply information
    • Manage time, make decisions, and evaluate outcomes
    • Utilize problem-solving skills
    • Understand and follow safety rules and regulations
    ESLR 3:    Lifelong Learners Who:
    • Monitor personal, educational, and career goals
    • Adapt to personal learning styles and assess performance objectively
    • Are motivated toward continued personal growth
    ESLR 4:    Users of Technology/Resources Who:
    • Effectively select, apply, maintain, and troubleshoot technologies and resources relevant to their fields
    • Adapt to ever-changing technologies and resources by identifying, learning, and applying new skills to improve job performance
    • Demonstrate the ability to identify, plan, and allocate resources
    • Demonstrate the ability to integrate technology and resources in the work environment
    • Effectively acquire, gather, interpret, comprehend, and process relevant information
    ESLR 5:    Effective Users of Systems Who:
    • Understand the social structure and the general function of the workplace
    • Proficiently use equipment, materials, and terminology

Note: ESLRS align with SCANS competencies, California Department of Education Career Preparation Standards, and All Aspects of the Industry components. In addition, natural alignment will occur with Industry-Specific Career-Technical Standards as well as various Core Academic Standards based on the nature of the occupational training field.
