The Award of Excellence recognizes outstanding students from throughout Merced County, and from each ROP program. Each year two Award of Excellence ceremony events are held, with a total of 200 student-recipients receiving awards and certificates.
Student-recipients are selected by ROP teachers based on a variety of criteria which includes student completion of an employability portfolio, participation in the ROP Student Portfolio Presentation Day event, attendance, grades, citizenship, effort, class participation, and various evaluations.
