Using the Labor Market Information Files

CLICK ON THE LINKS BELOW:

 

  • Once the appropriate file is opened, you will click on the first line and type in your course name after the TABLE NUMBER.   (Double click in front of the Y in YOUR and delete the words YOUR COURSE NAME HERE, then begin to type)  
  • You must then determine which occupations apply to your industry.   (If you need help in identifying these occupations, they should be located in the first few pages of your course outline.)  
  • Once you have determined the applicable occupations, you will need to delete the occupations that do not apply to your industry area.   To do this, just RIGHT CLICK on the row number of the occupation that does not apply (you will see a menu appear as in the diagram below), and LEFT CLICK on DELETE.    
  • Once you have deleted all of the non-applicable occupations, go to FILE, then SAVE AS and save the file (to the location of your choice) by the Table Number, Merced Co. or California, and Your Course Name.
