Learning for Earning

Merced County Regional Occupational Program (ROP) offers 32 different courses in 10 Industry Sectors to high school juniors, seniors, and adults. Classes are offered at 11 comprehensive high schools in Merced County and also at Chowchilla High School with over 3,400 high school students served. ROP classes are also offered to continuation and alternative high schools. Approximately 900 students receive on-the-job training in over 300 businesses throughout the county. Adult programs are offered in Accounting, Auto Services, Computerized Office Technology, Customer Service, Logistics and Warehousing, Marketing Occupations, Office Technologies in Medical Environments, and Working Professional.
