Ashley Ribeiro

Ashley Ribeiro is a ROP success story. She attended Chowchilla Union High School and graduated in 2005. She is currently attending CSU, Fresno studying Agriculture Business. She will be an Ag. Ambassador later this year. Ashley maintained a 3.9 GPA while in high school while being very active in the FFA and in Student Government.
Ashley enrolled in Brad Bitter’s Agriculture Computer Applications class as a junior. Ashley was a ROP Award of Excellence recipient winner that year and received perfect scores on both her portfolio and her interview.
Ashley was hired by the Ag. Department her senior year through the ROP as an Administrative Assistant while enrolled in the Ag. Sales & Service class. She ran the Ag. Office for two hours a day keeping the correspondence current, filing, maintaining the office equipment, answering phones, running errands and the dreaded “other duties as assigned”. Ashley was always a pleasant addition to the sometimes stressful environment in the Ag. Office and could be counted on to do her job everyday without complaint.
Ashley is a success story because she is using what she learned from her ROP classes to help her in her choice of majors at CSU, Fresno and to land a job in a bank while attending Fresno State. Ashley uses the job skills she acquired through ROP to be a successful college student and to earn expense money while attending school. The organizational skills she has learned helps her to plan her day and keep her on schedule and her set her priorities. Ashley hopes to complete her American FFA Degree this year, something less then 2% of all FFA members will receive.
