Cece Villasenor

Cece Villasenor is currently a senior at Atwater High School and is Dave Gossman’s ROP’ Internships in Agriculture course with a paid internship at Atwater—Merced Veterinary Clinic. Cece has always had an interest in working with animals and has taken advantage of her agricultural education and FFA experience to strengthen her knowledge and skills towards a career as a veterinarian. Cece has been a three year FFA chapter officer and her leadership experience has carried a positive influence towards her peers and the Atwater High School agriculture program.
The ROP “Internships in Agriculture” course has provided Cece the opportunity to expand her education and “hands-on” experience in the veterinary field. Cece’s agriculture courses in the animals science pathway and her FFA swine and beef projects have strengthened her interests and enthusiasm towards solidifying her objectives in continuing her education and becoming a veterinarian. If there was ever a “model” example of a student pursuing his/her interests, expanding their initial education, gaining “hands-on” experience, and complete their high school education with a internship/paid work experience in the field they want to pursue, Cece serves as this successful example.
Encompassing all her experiences and talents, Cece will be applying to Chico State’s animal science program for entrance next fall. She is an excellent student, leader, and animal handler, and is commended for her hard work at Atwater High School and in the agriculture department.
