Kristina Ross

Kristina Ross definitely represents an ROP success story. Kris attended Chowchilla Union High School and graduated in 2005. While in high school, she maintained a 3.5 GPA, served as an FFA Officer for two years and was very active in student government as well as all school activities. Kris is currently attending Oregon State University at Corvalis, majoring in Nursing.

Kris was enrolled in several ROP classes while attending CUHS. As a senior, she was in Mr. Biggers’ Internships in Agriculture class where she was an ROP Award of Excellence recipient.

Kris’s job site was the Ag Department at Chowchilla High School. She was hired during her senior year and served as an Administrative Assistant during her tenure in the department. Kris was a quick learner, always sporting a natural smile and cheery attitude. This pleasant demeanor aided Kris with her daily work chores of filing, correspondence, answering phones and running errands. Her work ethic and charming personality was a positive addition to our department.

Kris Ross is a success story because she combined a pleasant, positive attitude with skills acquired through her high school experience. Many of her skills and techniques were learned through ROP classes taught at Chowchilla High. Kris has admitted, classes such as Advanced Welding, Computers in Ag and Internships in Agriculture have taught her how to search, land and keep a job, which is especially helpful now, as she is working her way through college, with a definite career plan in mind. Kris is a shining example of what can be accomplished by using the vast tools available in the ROP program.
