Michael Rodriguez
Michael Rodriguez is a 2005 graduate of Los Banos High School. His training site was at Sorensen's True Value Hardware store in Los Banos. Cina Sorensen (Co-Owner) is a strong supporter of the ROP Marketing program and is also a long-time advisory committee member. Michael is one of many ROP students they have trained over the last 25 years.
During the 2004-05 school year that he trained at Sorensen's, Michael learned the following: the value of customer service, store maintenance, and product knowledge. In the summer of 2005, just after he graduated from high school, Sorensen's hired him as a part-time employee. A perfect fit as he attends Merced College (LB campus) to pursue an A.A. degree. His future plans are to receive a degree in Electrical Engineering and enter the U.S. Army.
While Michael was enrolled in ROP Marketing, he was able to pass the 2+2 college exam and receive 3 units of college credit. He was also a Marketing Club member and participated in our Community Service projects.
At the end of the school year, Michael was awarded a much deserved Certificate of Excellence. Michael is well on his way to a successful career in whatever path he pursues. Michael Rodriguez is a fine example of a successful ROP Marketing student.
