Raquel Rodriguez
Raquel Rodriquez is attending Los Banos High School and is currently a senior. She was in Mari Guintini’s ROP Medical Occupations class during the 2004-2005 school year. She was placed at Dr. Daniel Hardy’s office as her community site location training as a Medical Assistant. She was able to get hands on experience in calling in patients and preparing them for the doctor’s visit by doing vital signs, simple lab procedures and setting up patient charts. She also learned how to stock and clean the office on a daily basis.
During the summer of 2005, she attended the Certified Nursing Assistant class at the local Merced College campus where she received her CNA certification. She will now be able to get a job at any hospital or facility where CNA’s are utilized. She is currently applying for a CNA position at one of the local hospitals in Los Banos where she will work part-time while attending school at Los Banos High School.
Raquel is highly motivated and learns very quickly. Her co-workers at Dr. Hardy’s office enjoyed her enthusiasm, professionalism, and what is to be a successful career for her in the field of nursing. She will be a great asset to any office or hospital.
