Carlos Mendoza
Carlos Mendoza is a senior at Delhi High School and is currently enrolled in Mrs. Guizar's ROP Careers in Education class.
Carlos believes that a successful person is one that is dedicated and motivated to accomplish a goal, one that never gives up. He honestly believes that there is no quitting in life and one must always give 100% or more, when trying to achieve any type of goal. His dependability and great attitude have helped him achieve his goals. His future goals are to finish high school and enroll in a university. He wants to become a high school math teacher.
ROP has taught Carlos many skills that will be useful when he enters the workforce. He has learned how to write a cover letter, resume and how to fill out a job application, all essential components that will assist Carlos in his quest for a part-time job while he attends the teachers' credential program. His advice to other students is to enroll in a ROP course. He believes that ROP is a great experience for anyone, one that has given him confidence and work experience in the area that he enjoys the most.
Mrs. Guizar selected Carlos as the "ROP Student of the Quarter" because of his determination to do everything right and on time. He works hard and is extremely helpful to his site teacher. He cares about the students he works with and gives them his full attention. He is very helpful in the ROP classroom and participates fully in any discussion.
