ROP Students of the Quarter

1st Quarter 2008-2009 - Gustine High School

Jordan Avila

Jordan Avila is a senior in Matt Baffunno's ROP Internships in Agriculture class at Gustine High School. Jordan believes a successful person is someone who is hard working, honest, and responsible. He feels that he deserves to be the ROP Student of the Quarter because he attends school every day, keeps his grades up and completes all his assignments. His future goals include obtaining a college degree and becoming a California Highway Patrol Officer.

The skills he has learned in ROP include: the proper way to complete a job application, communication skills and job interview procedures. He feels that these skills will be of use to him throughout his life, no matter what career he chooses.

Jordan feels that if a student is willing to learn about the career they wish to pursue, then ROP is a great class to take because it teaches anything and everything about careers.

Mr. Baffunno says that Jordan's job site supervisor speaks highly of the work Jordan does and that Jordan has been doing a great job. Mr. Baffunno says he could not ask for a better ROP student.
