3rd Quarter 2007-2008 - Golden Valley High School

Alma Alvarez
Alma Alvarez is a senior at Golden Valley High School and is enrolled in Mrs. Whited's ROP Careers in Education class. She works in Mrs. Rye's first grade classroom at Charles Wright Elementary.
Alma defines a successful person as someone who doesn't give up, has a positive attitude, helps others, always tries to achieve higher goals, and continues to prosper no matter what situation they find themselves in. Alma is a very polite, mature, and a personable young adult. She is an eager learner, and her diligence to be an exceptional student sets her apart from many. Her success in school is a testimony of her dedication and intelligence.
Alma enjoys the entire ROP Careers in Education course, but especially finds her experience at Charles Wright and her involvement with the first graders in their learning process through special projects and activities especially rewarding. Her future goals include obtaining a Multi Subjects Credential and becoming a first grade teacher.
Alma strongly recommends this class to anyone who might be interested in a career in the education field because it gives the student hands on experience, they may learn many new things, they can improve their skills and abilities, and it builds their confidence to be able to work in the field.
Congratulations Alma!
