Julio Pimentel
Julio Pimentel is a first year ROP Medical Occupations student at Hilmar High School. His teacher, Julie Jean, stated that she selected Julio as her student of the quarter for many reasons. In class he excels at everything he does, including obtaining vital signs, demonstrating CPR and First Aid skills.
These skills are vital to success his jobsite. Julio said he has found these things crucial for many situations in the medical field including saving the life of a patient; friend, relative, or a stranger.
In mastering these skills Julio has become more confident and it has given him the motivation to maintain a good GPA. Julio describes a successful person as someone who sees the opportunities that have been offered and uses them to become successful. The advice Julio would give to fellow students regarding the ROP Medical Occupations class is that it is a good course to experiment your interests and you learn a lot about the medical field. Julie also commented that his jobsite has been great experience.
Julio went the extra mile by preparing a promotional slide show for ROP Medical Occupations as well as speaking to the sophomore and junior classes at the ROP Awareness Day. He exhibits excellence in all that he does. Future goals include going to a community college then transferring to a University. His career interests include the medical field and business.
