2nd Quarter 2007-2008 - Merced High School
David Contreras
David Contreras is a senior at Merced High School and was chosen as Student of the Quarter in Mrs. Rose's ROP Graphic Occupations class.
David believes a successful person is someone who is committed and determined. He also believes that if you can't commit yourself to something then you'll never be able to finish anything in life. David's future goals are to graduate from high school and then go to college in Fremont or San Francisco.
In regards to the ROP program, David comments, that it is useful and believes that it would benefit students in their future career.
Mrs. Rose chose David as Student of the Quarter because of his excellent attendance and academic accomplishments. David is at a community classroom site three to four days a week and he still manages to complete the classroom projects in a timely manner. He is creative, personable, and he works well with his fellow students.
