3rd Quarter 2007-2008 - Merced High School

Joanna Lopez
Joanna Lopez is senior at Merced High School and is currently enrolled in Ms. Gebers ROP Veterinary Science class.
Joanna believes that a successful person is someone who has great communication skills, reliable and hard working. She also believes a successful person is someone who accomplishes their goals in life. Joanna commented that she obtained the ROP Student of the Quarter recognition because she has received numerous awards through FFA. The awards include advance reporter in public speaking, gold at project competition and high individual at Arbuckle Field Day. Joanna's future goals are to go to UC Davis and major in Agriculture Business. She would also like to obtain her American degree through FFA.
While enrolled in Ms. Gebers ROP Veterinary Science class, Joanna has learned how to present herself in public and will be able to apply this skill in her career and other activities in FFA. She would tell other students who are interested in taking an ROP class that they will gain experience and everything you learn you will be able to apply it in the future.
Ms. Gebers chose Joanna for several reasons. She is one of her most inquisitive and bright students. She is always asking questions, comes in early before class to help set up labs and makes sure that everything is cleaned up afterwards. Joanna is an excellent student who deserves the ROP Student of the Quarter.
Congratulations Joanna!
